In town for the weekend, buddies and I decided to try when we saw the packed parking lot and line outside the door. Had about a 20 minute wait for a table, our server Shawn was immediately at our table to take the drink orders. Two of us ordered the chicken fried steak with two sides and the other buddy ordered the chicken pot pie and side salad. Was very disappointed that the steak knife actually bent when trying to cut the meat and really grossed out when I saw the steak was fairly rare under the outside batter. Told Shawn and he quickly offered us a different entree, we both asked for the chicken fried chicken, which was lightly battered and juicy, much better than the steak. Buddy who ordered the pot pie was happy with her choice. We ordered the Cookie Monster dessert and was a bit overdone, should have been more chewy, but we used the ice cream to soften it up. Overall 2+stars for the food and 4 stars for the service (Shawn).
A good place to eat where the food quality, quantity, value and service are above average, especially for chain restaurants. The only drawback here is there is often a wait to be seated due to the number of dinners. This is especially true at lunchtime during the week and for sure on Saturday and Sundays. We eat here at least once a month and rarely have an issue. Occasionally the service seems a little off, but I can reflect that in my tip. One thing though, I don’t believe I have ever had a Manager stop by the table and see how our experience is going. The price and quantity of food is certainly a drawing card for Cheddar’s. I often order the Chicken Fried Chicken and the dinner portion has 2 large chicken breast smothered in gravy. The food has always been hot, fresh and a good presentation.
Fantastic service and delicious food, with very reasonable prices. This is going to be our go-to place for special occasions! I’m very pleased with the changes made to Cheddars.
Do not eat here. This is probably the worst service I’ve had in a restaurant. We waited for 5 minutes before anyone came to the table. Took about another 15 to order food because the waiter kept forgetting to take it. Once we got our food, the plates had dried food on the bottom, and no telling what on top. My girlfriend didn’t eat much and once the waiter came back to take our plate, he commented that he hates to see money wasted.
Good food, fast service, nice atmosphere, and cheap drinks. First time here but I will be back
THE WORST EVER!!!!!. We arrived at 2:30. We were seated immediately and waited 10 minutes for our waitress to to take the order. I ordered the cup of tortilla soup and the blackened whitefish with corn and mac and cheese. My partner ordered chicken tenders and fry’s. We waited until 3:10 before a cold meal arrived. The whitefish sucked, it was like rubber. The mac and cheese was cold and the waitress forgot the soup but told me that they were still heating it up. I poked at the meal and didn’t eat much of it. The soup showed up later and was cold. She never asked if I wanted a refill on my drink either. My pals fry’s were soggy with oil but his chicken was not bad. The staff is very slow and didn’t really know what they were doing and lacked training. I will NEVER go back. This was the second bad experience but I thought I would give them a try again. Over an hour and left hungry. Run, run away fast. Panda Express next door or Sanduvals Mexican on the other side.
Ordered the Philly cheesesteak with MacNCheese….turned out to be a few thin slices of meat with some veggies on a hard hot dog bun and two slices of american cheese nuked in the wicrowave. The MacNCheese was about two tablespoons of cold and mushy pasta. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
