I am so impressed with this restaurant! I ordered the Molcajete Caliente which was phenomenal, the meat was very well seasoned and the green sauce complements the meat perfectly. The molcajete (stone bowl) is heated over an open flame then filled with green tomatillo sauce that has little bits of octopus perfectly cooked in it and the rim of the bowl is topped with fried fish fillets, grilled beef, chicken, and shrimp. Sauce stayed bubbling throughout my meal and the meat stays nice and hot until ready to eat. Such a creative dish! I will absolutely be coming back and ordering this again.

Simply amazing!. A friend found great reviews for Mariscos, so we decided to try it out. The outside of the building is rustic, but the interior is very fun and brightly colored. The food was phenomenal, from chips and salsa to dessert. There was a little confusion in the kitchen with one of our orders, but even the mistake of shrimp instead of fish tacos was delicious. All entrees come with a salad, beans and rice, so you will not go hungry. Our selections were: the shrimp ceviche appetizer (a meal unto itself!), the fish tacos, and the camarones culichi. We also partook of the $4 24oz draft beer special. Yes, we shall return.
Very Good Mexican Seafood. This place looks like a dive from the outside but the inside is OK. I’ve been here a bunch of times and get a seafood dish because most of the menu are just seafood dishes with an average price around $13.00. This time we shared the Molcajete. It’s a Boiling Cauldron of Battered Fish, Shrimp, Beef, Octopus and Chicken in your choice of Hot Diablo Chipotle sauce or Tomatillo. We picked the Diablo and it was very spicy but also very tasty. They give you rice and bean plates with it and tortillas. It was fun and only $22.00 to feed both of us. But I think they cook the fish better when you get the single plate entrees. Also sometimes they give you a complimentary seafood tostada that’s delicious but I noticed when I come here when they are too busy I don’t get the tostada. I note this is a very small place.
I was born and raised in Alaska and I’ve had fish of one kind or another hundreds of times. This was the best fish I have ever had in a restaurant. The Ranchero fillet was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My new favorite phoenix restaurant. I can’t believe we’re so far from the ocean.
Hidden Gem. We didn’t know what to expect and it blew us away. A cozy, clean spot with super friendly staff. They let us put our bikes in the back because there was no where to chain them. We had free tostadas you get with every meal to which I haven’t had better. Then to top it off we had, which I had never even heard of, a Molcajete Caliente. A big stone bowl filled with scalding diabla sauce with, hanging off the side and half drenched, two pieces of fish, steak, chicken and 4 pieces of shrimp. Delicious home made taco size flower tortillas that you eat it with. Fantastic.
The best restaurant in phoenix Arizona!!! Great for a cool beer and some tacos! =] 5 stars!!!!!
