I used to eat here a lot and thought it was pretty decent for a buffet. I tried it again tonight after living out of state for a few years. The food was still pretty decent, but the smell of the restaurant was so horrible that I didn’t have much of an appetite. It may have been a one-time kind of thing, but I won’t take my chances again. Sorry, New China, but that was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten in some pretty sketchy places.

Not bad for a buffet.. New China has a really great location; it’s right next to the university in town. I don’t think the food is to die for, but it is certainly not bad. It offers a wide variety of food with about six buffet stations. One thing I found that I liked was all of the kid friendly types of foods: pizza, quesadillas, popcorn shrimp, and chicken strips. I don’t have any children, but I know that kids are very picky when it comes to trying new things. I really liked some of the things I tried like the cheesy crab dish or stuffed mushrooms. Although I wouldn’t come here just for the sushi, I was happy to see some types of sushi available for the buffet price. All in all, this is not a bad place to eat and I will probably come back.
I hate this place. The food is gross. Too greasy and bland. The food off the menu is a little better but I’ve ordered the cashew chicken, kung pao chicken and the spicy garlic chicken and they all came out the same way- chicken with a ton of celery and cashews and a spicy brown sauce. I couldn’t tell the difference between them. The last time I went (my boyfriend likes it) someone puked between 2 of the buffet tables and no one cleaned it up the whole time we were there. Gross.
Love it and it is clean
Not bad. Food was good, crawfish is awful in lemongrass. and sushi on a buffet doesnt work, the quality isnt there. as for their service awsome for such a big place…. great price for what you can get…………..
It’s pretty good. It’s more Americanized but good.
