We ate here after a storm took out the power in most of the town and there wasn’t one thing I had on my plate that wasn’t delicious. They make their own ranch salad dressing which is awesome, and the portion sizes are huge. So good! However, it was very expensive for two people and we paid about $40 and that was just a dinner apiece.

If you go by and get yourself a take-home order, be sure to invert your sandwich over onto the top bun before you go to eating — this will save you a mess in the car and allow you to taste some of the fresh bun as well. Never fear — Old Post Bar-BQ also offers family packs for four or six — where the meat, sauce, and bread are all packaged separately. I picked up one of these packs on the way back home the following Saturday, and it kept nicely on the drive back to Little Rock — along with the four (four!) side items — potato salad, mac and cheese, fried okra, and banana pudding. tiedyetravels.com

Food is not too bad but the service sure is…. Lack of attention to detail on the staff’s part resulted out order being incorrect. One would think that if you pay $60-$75 for a BBQ party pack that it would be correctly filled. The young staff were more interested in their phone texts and Facebook to worry about doing a good job. When confronted about the mix up, manager was more argumentative than helpful.

I use to enjoy the food at old post years ago and decided to try it today after being gone out state for five years.I ordered a pound of chopped brisket and 2 sides the online menu read one pound meat and two side for $12.49 What i got was a pound of grizzle riddled brunt ends and a spoonful of potatoes and a spoonful of BBQ beans in a take out tray. The staff advised me that the restaurant was under new ownership and the original owners sold out around 3 Years ago.Oh and the $12.49 price some how became $17.54 at the window. Its such a shame to see such a good restaraunt go down hill.

Weigh take-out food, not children!. I have enjoyed the food at Old Post for the past two years, but I will never eat there again due to an incident on Memorial Day. When ordering food for my 3 grand children, we were asked their ages — 8,10,and11. The lady said just a minute and came back out with bathroom scales and asked my grand daughter to get on them! My daughter, the children’s mother, said we were not going to weigh our children. The manager waiting on us never ask us if we were interested in a special or explained any promotion going on. My family was to upset to eat so we said we would go to another restaurant. The manager finally said that this was some type of promotion they due on Monday, but never explained the promotion or asked if we would like to take advantage. We left even though I had paid for my food and drink and went to another BBQ place in Russellville. This is a very discriminatory promotion and it should have been explained before the scales appeared and we should have been asked if we were even interested in a promotion.Like 2 seconds ago Cheryl Massengale….

Horrible service! Took 30 min to get my food, food that is already cooked, and I was the only person there! Food is not great either.

Not bad food if you ever get it, it took over 30 min to get out food, food that was already cooked… I had a bone in my pulled pork sandwich the potato salad has no flavor and they need to learn about time management when a table of two orders food that is already cooked I think it would be better to get that food out first instead they wait to cook a bunch of fried food for four before they get a small order out… Not happy
