My wife and I travel frequently to AR, and he heard from the locals that Stoby’s is the best place to eat in Russellville. It is famous for the cheese dip. If you like yellow flour paste with paprika go for it. We thought we were not given good advice. My wife had the Reuben sandwich which is usually made with real pastrami. It looked like cheaply packaged lunch meat and tasted that way also. It hardly had any sauerkraut and the rye bread was toasted not in butter but in some kind of unknown tasteless oil. Even their coconut pie tasted like a thick flour paste with coconut and a too sweet meringue. We were looking for a great experience and left nauseated. I had the Tuna Pita, which consisted of about 2 tbsps of tuna and mayo in a pita bread. Later, when we were trying to forget the experience my husband reminded me the last bad restaurant we ate at was in Russellville. Please, Russellville citizens visit a great Razorback restaurant in Gentry called the Wooden Spoon. Then try to improve the quality of your menu to their delicious standards.
Excellent Pie. Highly recommend the peanut butter pie.
Great lunch/dinner, skip the breakfast. I live 2 blocks from Stoby’s, and have frequented this restaurant often in the 22 years I’ve lived in Conway. I have very rarely been displeased with either their service or their food during lunch or dinner hour. The issue I have been having and finally felt compelled to write a review about is the breakfast. I’ve often picked up Stoby’s breakfast on the way home from work (night shift) only to be disappointed almost every time with overcooked food. The pancakes are burned, and the meat is rendered to almost inedible, jerky-like consistency. I actually fed the bacon to my dog the last time around. I still love Stoby’s, but save this one for an afternoon or evening meal.
I like it. Cheap and delicious food!
Not so good… Don’t understand what all the buzz is about. Very ordinary food, but the train part of the building is neat. Breakfast is good, but in my opinion don’t bother eating lunch or dinner..
Hearty and filling. This place has the fun atmosphere of being largely made up out of old railroad dining cars. They serve classic American diner style food. Good burgers, good jambalaya. Friendly service. Not bad at all!
Good pancakes and water.
