Old school diner converted into no frills Chinese eatery. This place is no doubt busy, the servings are generous and the price represents good value. However being Chinese ourselves we didn’t enjoy the food, I had the chicken noodle soup which was tasty however the chicken was heavily tenderized and fatty. Beef and tofu was blanketed in a unatural cornstarch brown sauce. Right next to San Pedro whole mart, location is convenient if you’re right next door but it’s otherwise a slightly shady location especially at night.

I’ve been going to this place since I can remember. They are a CASH ONLY establishment so keep that in mind when you visit. Anything you order will be delicious but the must have in my opinion is their Chinese Chicken Salad, which is not on the menu, but us oldies know it’s a classic.23 Apr, 2015The salad is a large portion for one person. The chicken is lean and the cilantro gives it a nice freshness one wouldn’t expect. All the nuts and crunch noodles also add to the texture of the salad, but the secret ingredient is their dressing – sweet and tangy. A must try for sure, although you won’t find it on the menu.

I’ve been going here since forever. My Gma likes their sweet and sour chicken. I love the eggplants. My mom loves the chicken chow mein. My dad is a toss up between pressed duck and char siu. Service is pretty good. It looks like a hole in the wall place. But usually that’s when u know its good.

This is one of the original Cantonese restruants in the old vegtable market area. The other old stand bys like the new moon have moved away. War Won Ton soup is a dish they are famous for. All the cantonese noodle dishes are fantastic, this is the real thing! I have been eating here for 30 years and they have the best barbacued pork in town. Old school, no ambieance just great food! No credit cards cash only!
