I think this place is good enough to try at least onceI was looking forward to trying this place and finally got the chance. I wasn’t 100% about it when I actually arrived. It’s literally located right next door to Coles. I never knew that was the location. It’s more of a fancy burger fast food place, that offers wine, beer, soju and sake. You pay first before getting drinks and food.Prices are ok $8 for the black sheep burger.$4 for a glass of wine.*i ordered the black sheep burger. I recommend not getting this if you plan on kissing anyone later that day hahahaThe aioli sauce is cray. The bun was a dark color and tasted a bit sweet. Good burger but I’ve had better.Very nice bartenders and servers.
This hidden gem can be found right next to the hugely popular Cole’s. The menu is small, but the food is outstanding. Entres are primarily burgers, with sides being fries or tots with all varieties of toppings. They are open late which makes them a lifesaver if you miss the dinner bell at so many other restaurants downtown. The only downside to this place is the service. I’ve been several times now and continue to find errors on my orders (items omitted or incorrect). I also end up waiting at the bar to place an order when the bartender is socializing with the waitress. I hope these are simply some growing pains that come with a new(ish) business, and that the staff will continue to professionalize.
Pregaming before grabbing drinks at a planned destination of the night has always been done since I was of age to drink. Luckily pregaming is what made me and friends step foot into Black Sheep. This gave me the opportunity to scope out the place and grab some decent beers at a good price.First impressions gets it four stars from me and that alone comes from the staff, music, chill atmosphere, and of course the drinks. Note that this review doesn’t contain any food as I haven’t ordered any to try. Not yet at least. The friendly/cool staff greets you when walking in and offers up beer samples if you’re not sure what to order. From here, you can grab a seat and enjoy the music (ranging from Hip-Hop to Pop). The space Black Sheep occupies is of that of a small burger joint but has a good amount of tables for seating with an outside patio. The most notable thing on the drink menu was the $3 sake bombs along side the beers (ranging from $6 to $11) and the $4 soju bombs. $3 sake bombs…sold! Though I didn’t try the food, the menu looks promising and the visuals I’ve got from those who did order food looked awesome. Can’t wait to dive into some tots and burgers. An half an hour was spent here and that was enough to assure a return. The beers was ice cold (as the should be) and the place as a whole was laid back and chill. The crowd picked up as we were leaving which made me want to stay but had to head out. Next visit will contain food and whether or not that changes my rating remains to be seen.Visit Date 10/7/2016
