Horrible food, quesadilla was burnt, chicken mole was dry and the mole sauce was off to put it nicely… Tamale was mediocre, flan was all wrong, texture, taste… Won’t be coming back
My brother highly recommended this place so I was excited to try it out. The chips seemed like they came out of a bag and my steak fajitas were really chewy. I guess they must feel like the side dishes really don’t matter because the beans were cold and the rice was tasteless. For half the price, I recommend Baja Buds on National. Everyone deserves flavorful food!!
First night in LA, this is where we went. The whole table enjoyed their food and drinks. Service was a little slow at first, but it picked up after our food arrived. Wednesday night is buy 2 get 1 free margaritas, so we took advantage of those. They were great! Good flavor and stroooong. To eat I had a chile relleno and a spinach tamale. Others in my group had shrimp tacos, a mushroom quesadilla, and beef fajitas. Food was fresh and flavorful! Free chips and salsa were also good. This new downtown Culver City is really nice. If you happen to find yourself there, consider this place.
Great Happy Hour. I got a tasty margarita and a sangria – $3 each during happy hour (til 7). They have a fun happy hour food menu, too. We got a chicken mole quesadilla. Excellent chips and salsa too! We’ll definitely go back for dinner at some point.
Big Chunks o’ Meat. I had the steak fajita quesailla, which comes with red peppers, onions, and a mixture of Monterey Jack & Cheddar cheeses. I’m sure they think that serving large hunks of steak is a sign of quality, and it was good quality meat, but could they cut it a little thinner?Everything (meat and veg) was too large to stay in the tortilla and would fall apart with every bite. The only thing that wasn’t too large was the too small amount of cheese. If there was more cheese in the quesailla, it could have held it together, but alas there wasn’t.Other things might be good, but the quesailla wasn’t the best first choice.
