Love this place!. One of the best sushi restaurants around with amazing rolls, fresh sushi and great service. I can’t imagine how anyone could have a bad experience here as one reviewer wrote. We go at least twice a month and have always had top notch food. Love the wall of water and the friendly efficient service.
This place is nearby and I like their special Tuna sashimis. Their rolls are fairly good, the tuna crunch roll And they use real crab meat. U pay for it but it makes a difference. My fam and I come here at least once a week. And for the price and quality it’s fair. But nothing beats sushi like Vancouver Bc.
It was a bad sign when even the edamame was bad. How can you serve old poor quality edamame? Well it went down hill from there. Bad tuna with an ammonia/bleach taste like it was treated to mask the age of the fish. The yellowtail was most likely previousely frozen. I am actually not sure it was in fact yellowtail since the appearance and texture was different than any yellowtail sashimi that I have ever seen. Last and yes least was the octopus. It was shriveled up and was a texture closer to white shoe leather than fresh sliced octopus. On top of the bad food, the sushi bar has a bad set up. No standard refrigerated glass case for customer to see the fish but instead a counter below for preparation out of the eye of the customer. This was the first time in a sushi restaurant that I actually left 4 pieces on my plate!! And they did not ask me if there was anything wrong!!?? This place takes the cake for all time bad sushi.

I’ve eaten a lot of sushi at a number of restaurants. Two of the three rolls we had were exceptional, the third was very good. Some of the rolls are topped with what could be described as a sashimi compote or sashimi tartare. This provided a wonderful taste experience.
This place literally is the reason I now like sushi! I still won’t eat sushi anywhere else but here and that’s even ok by my sushi-lovin’ wife! Everything is so fresh and perfect. The wait staff is top notch too. My favorite sushi now is the albacore with crunchy onions…mmm! But my favorite dish overall is the lobster dynamite. It’s perfection in a bowl. Don’t forget to bang the drum on the way out to express how good your meal was to the chefs!
