You can tell from the crowd that goes to this place for breakfast on a weekday morning, that this is a wonderful place to be. They have seating both inside and outside, and as the weather was awesome, we decided to get a table on the pavement. The breakfast was good with sufficient portions. The service was a bit slow but then again, they were doing a packed house. Sorry no pics….was too busy enjoying the weather
Great option for the breakfast time with fresh, tasty and also healthy food.I started with a fruit bowl and then my favourites (Not so healthy maybe) eggs benedict and a cup of black tea and soy milk really delicious.Friendly Staff I recommend it!
Beautiful and very modern/minimal space in Culver City. The service is great and the staff is pet friendly, with some dog owners eating outside. I had the California Scrambled eggs and they were delicious. All food leaving the counter looked great.
Metro Cafe. Was invited here for a friend’s b-day brunch. Had a really decent chicken caesar salad and sweet potato fries. My friend who dines here regularly said the dinner specials are really good, too!Definitely a neighborhood gem!
Yum! yum! yum!
Travelodge Should Seek Out More Restaurants Like This. Attached to a Travelodge and marked by nothing than an old Art Deco sign that says Metro Diner, this restaurant looks like one of the most unassuming you’ll ever see and would never guess how good the food is. The regular menu has the usual diner fare with some very good, California-style exceptions, like the tofu sandwich, grilled veggie salad, and white bean soup. The owners are a couple of Serbian guys, one of whom doesn’t work in the restaurant anymore because he started a massage business somewhere. The chef doesn’t eat meat, and the fusion of such a variety of tastes leads to an inspired menu. Their real strength is the Specials menu, which consists of Yugoslavian dishes like burata and an excellent goulash, as well as a variety of California-style dishes, like chicken and sundried tomato pasta.
