Come early and grab a seat and spend the night. Locals come here to pre-party so it fills up start 7pm. Cocktails are awesome, and the hoppy beers are spectacular. No fussy attitudes and not a dirty dive. A quality drink establishment with a good local feel. Hungry?! No worries, the kitchen is serving up the best of Roy Choys Koji menu. Korean fries, Packman Burger and the Black Jack Quesadilla? I’ll have them all please. sundayspentcooking.com
Food was really tasty; it was fresh and delicious. Short rib burrito was good, as was the chicken rice bowl. Was not expecting it to be this good. Cocktails were strong which is always important!
Amazing little secret in Culver City! The environment was lively and the food was exceptional. The best drink on the menu: the spiced daisy. Take a minute to enjoy it if you’re in L.A.
I wanted to love this place. The food was okay, I expected the flavours to be bolder (mild Korean/ Mexican flavours), I think they need to step it up a notch. The bartender charged me for a drink I never got, and didn’t give me a discount or anything on my bill (other than taking the drink I didn’t get off my bill). They need to put some more effort in on this place, slow service. Try the food truck.
I Swear!. Had an order of the Kogi Three Taco Combo (~$7): corn tortilla, slaw, cilantro, onions, salsa roja, and choice of meat (in this case tofu). Also had an order of the Kimchi Sesame Quesadilla (~$7): flour tortilla, cheese, kimchi, red pepper sour cream, salsa roja, and choice of meat (in this case tofu). Additionally, had an order of the Korean Spiced Fries (~$5): sriracha, ketchup and sesame mayo dipping sauce. Food was delicious, staff was informed, and the ambiance was intimate.
Amazingness @ Alibi. I decided to take my girl out for some Korean BBQ. I heard great things about the Alibi room so I had to try it. I really liked the atmosphere. The outside was kind of funky, and the inside had a nice vibe with the lighting and seating. Although we did not sit at the bar, it was really cool with nice wood countertops. I had decided to order the three taco combo. It was awesome! it had a short rib, bbq chicken, and spicy pork, great variety! My girl had ordered the sesame quesadillas. Really good as well, I had to have a taster. I really liked the cocktails at this place. I ordered a rusted root, which had whiskey, pear, and ginger beer as the main ingredients. Really interesting way to drink a whiskey! Our waiter suggested their new drink the sake cocktail to my girl. The waiter was awesome and actually brought us out each a free sample of the sake used in it. It’s called ty-ku and its really smooth. Really cool of the waiter to bring it out for us to try. Great place!
Kogi BBQ at Alibi Room. Kogi BBQ is a Korean-style taco truck that roams L.A. and has really tasty tacos, quesadillas, and sliders made with kalbi, kim chee, and other Korean ingredients. They set up shop in the kitchen of the Alibi, which is otherwise a bar, every evening. As with waiting at the Kogi roach coach locations, it takes half an hour before the food comes, but at least you can enjoy a beer while you wait. They don’t have iced tea (except for the Long Island version), but hey, it’s a bar.
