I read the reviews and went here. The service was great. The food was So-So. I will give it another try but first impression was not good.
I liked the food but I don’t eat meat. I ordered the veggie dishes which were like side dishes. Paltry portions. Very oily. Interesting enough for an occasional visit. Not for everyday. I love eggplant and this is the only place to get eggplant that isn’t Thai. If you are not familiar with Turkish food I recommend googling before get there.
This is the most wonderful place ever! I love food and this place is the best. Tried a bunch of different items and they all have been good. The staff and service are very very good. We try to go eat here every week. Wonderful!
Perfect Turkish Food!. My father first told me about this restaurant and after having lived in Turkey for several years I must say that this restaurant serves the most authentic food you will be able to find in the Sacramento area. The owner is from the area I lived in and adds charm to the restaurant as he is friendly and loves to talk about Turkey and his wonderful food. My favourite is the smoked eggplant and knefe for desert. A must try!
Love Gonul’s Vanilla Bean Turkish restaurant in Sacto so tried this place and were very disappointed. Small portions of mediocre food on sticky tables. Typical strip mall ethnic restaurant. Will not return
Delicious. Another great, locally owned restaurant. Support your local economy people! ;p I have gone there twice for lunch, and had the donner kebab plate both times. I especially like the condiments that are served on the side. There is a pickled cabbage?? side, and a creamy yogurt sauce, among others, that all perfectly compliment the meat. I have also had the stuffed mushroom appetizer with was simple, but perfectly executed and delicious. I can’t wait to go back for dinner, I am dying to try the whole fried fish. I highly recommend this restaurant.
