WORST EVER THAI RESTAURANT… EVER. Just a total surprise. Such a bad restaurant. Portions were so small that it was enought for just one. A couple could not share any of the dishes ordered.The SATAY had to be days old. The PRA RAM had 8-10 small bites of chicken at best with a few small pieces of cabbage.The interior ambience offered a strip mall influence with cheap and worn seats and tables. The people whom I believe may own the restaurant were not Thai (but it appeared the cooks were Thai).This VERY BAD and low-end restaurant sits accross the street from Sierra College and this may be the only reason Bangkok City Thai exists. An audience of teens and young adults at best.Thai food doesn’t always have to be great. Presentation is everything as are the cooks but when a restauranr gets so stingy with portion size, it’s evident intent is just profit at best.Avoid this pit.
Very Delighted to eat at a very good Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. I discovered this place in the last couple of weeks and I’ve already been there 8 times! I finally found a comfortable place to eat, it’s casual, relaxing, very clean, and simply cozy! Even my husband likes their food, and he calls me to order beef with broccoli and he also gave Two Thumbs Up to the Crab Fried Rice. The owners won my husband’s heart and recommends what he can order per his very limited taste for Thai delectable culinary ingredients. I never took my husband to a Thai restaurant for I cannot enjoy eating what I like and it takes the fun out of eating. Bangkok City offers: Delicious food, right price, great service (owners obviously enjoy preparing Thai food, as well as talk about other dishes not on their menu, that I have tried in Bangkok or in San Francisco!) Dishes I’ve ordered so far that I enjoyed: green curry pork, red curry beef, panang salmon, drunken noodles (aka spicy noodles) lamb mint, beef oyster, crab fried rice-yum! and boat noodles, pad thai and chow mein. I will try their yellow curry next!I am trying every dish on the menu and I like each and EVERY ONE of them so far! They offer brown rice too! The wonderful friendly service adds to our appetite!
Super friendly owner who always adds the special touch of remembering our favorites. Food is very good. Loved the red curry and spicy noodles! Please try them.
