Not good.
Ichiban Quite Lovely. Stuck in Rocklin to get Grandpa’s Mercedes fixed (don’t ask), looking for a place to get lunch and not wanting to eat in the bistro within the dealer showroom (in fact you could eat off the floor of the service bay, no lie)–we walked to Safeway and spied this little mall sushi/bento joint with the most gracious waitress and kindly sushi chef. Perfectly fresh and tasty spicy tuna roll, salmon & avocado roll, and salmon skin hand rolls. Good teriyaki chicken & salmon (maybe too much dressing on the salad)–but this was good and made us feel better about getting the damned Mercedes fixed for so very much money.
If your favorite aspect of sushi is the fresh fish, this is the best place to go! Don’t let the small location fool you, the sushi chef is excellent and very friendly.
