The unlimited breadsticks and salad are so good that you just get full on that . I went twice , once I tried the chicken alfredo , and another I tried the Mac n Cheese adult sized portion . Both platters do not disappoint
My wife and I ate at the Olive Garden in Roseville, CA last night. We were greeted by a waiter who took our order and brought our drinks and soups. Unfortunately we never saw him again. A waitress brought our meals. My stuffed chicken Marsala was very dry (only one breast was dry), my wife’s sausage stuffed giant rigatoni was horrible. The pasta was undercooked and rubbery and hard in some spots. The sausage was a texture-less mush. The waitress never asked us about our meals. She did come and refill my ice tea and my wife asked for a second bowl of soup. She brought the soup and still did not ask about our meals. Some time later the waitress returned and noticed my wife’s entire plate was full and my plate was half full, so she offered boxes for us to take our meals home. When we declined, she still didn’t ask if there was a problem with the meals. We paid our check and spoke with the manager on our way out of the restaurant. He was too quick to offer a free meal on our next visit and did not listen to our experience. We declined his seemingly insincere coupon offer and again tried to explain how bad this visit was. He again offered a free meal and I told him, this isn’t about a free meal. He just didn’t want to listen, as if there is a certain amount of loss built into their business plan. Which I guess would be smart if they don’t care about providing good food or service. We left without our coupon and plan to spend our money in local and family owned restaurants who care more about the customers than a turn and burn cash flow.
Who doesn’t like Olive Garden!?! Nothing like cheap poorly re-created italian food, but for whatever reason it’s good! The people here are pretty nice though I’m sure you come here a week later and you’ll find a whole new staff. Everytime we come here theres always a wait so be prepared to spend a few minutes holding one of those coaster looking attention getter dealies.
Food was good however the service was robotic and scripted. Slow, (10 min) to refill and replenish the unlimited salid and soup; always had to ask for more too. Spent $20 per person, I would have expected more from a well established restaurant.
Dinner was good, but the breadsticks were blah… pretty sure they’ve modified the recipe, as they’re NOTHING like they used to be. No longer worth the calories. They gave out free wine samples, so I tried the Roscato and it was delicious. Slightly carbonated like a champagne.
Good food. Good Italian food at food at standard restaurant prices. The service is usually good and you get as many breadsticks as you want.
Love Their Soups!!!. I’ve always been a huge fan of Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana…but I just tried their new Chicken & Gnocchi soup for the first time here and I think it’s a tie!Although I normally order the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo, I decided to try their new special, Sausage Rollatini. It was pretty good, especially for the money ($9.95).
