When we first tried indonesian food, we did not like it. After four years, We decided to try it again at a different restaurant and Java Spice did not fail us. In fact, we would want to go back again, soon. The combination beef & chicken wrapped in banana leaf was delicious. The beef meat was so soft and the meat of the chicken was falling off the bone. The combination of the spices, banana leaf, meat & rice brought out an excellent flavor. My other favorite is the flat noodle called Char Kway Teaw. It looked like Pad see ew but the flavor is totally different and I believe better. I did not like the #1 combination rice plate though. I suggest get the combination wrapped in banana leaf instead. The price difference is only 50 cents. Some dishes are over priced like the kangkung and fish dishes. Overall, we will definitely come back. Prices for rice plates are under $10 and good portion size.
