LOVE B!O ~ bio my favorite secret! shhhhhhhhhhh!. My first meal every time I visit San Francisco. Also, my second meal, third…. Lovely, unique sandwiches, salad, soup, gluten free chocolate, baked goods and homemade yogurt with berries. I don’t think healthy, interesting food gets any better than this. BIo isn’t about customer service — it is about good food. Respect the cook! Bio is basically carry out but who cares. Eat it walking down the street, Eat it carry out over to Union Square, take it home or in your suitcase to take home 2000 miles away (i am). Brussels sprout sandwich!!! love it!!! Prices are NOT high. Yummy, fresh, hot organic food for less than the burger across the street.
Bio is now a must-do place in San Francisco for me. Coming from Portland, I don’t always expect to find something incredible and new when I travel, even in a great food city like San Francisco. But Bio has a great, creative menu of healthy, delicious foods made from fresh, organic ingredients. We had the quiche (some magical combination of Brussels sprouts, gruyere, quinoa, love) and a sandwich w kale, Brussels sprouts, sundried tomato tapenade, on walnut bread. Next to choose from the wide variety of chocolate dipped fruits (probably the dried blood orange slices) and my ice tea with rose essence. Gotta go.
