We have traveled through Grand Junction for three years now and have searched for a good Mexican restaurant. We have eaten at El Tapatio twice and were disappointed – not bad, but service was mediocre and our orders were incorrect last time. Aztecas was a pleasure from start to finish; the house margarita was good, the enchiladas pollo de mole was excellent and the spinach enchiladas were made especially for my wife without cottage cheese as listed on the menu! Custom service and excellent food. The tomatillo salsa was salty, but overall we are pleased.
Best Mexican in Grand Junction. Their margaritas are the BEST!
The dishes came out of the kitchen relatively quick, looked good, taste was okay but was close to true Mexican food very bland. What I make at home had more flavor than this.
This is very mediocre Mexican food. The enchiladas and con pollo was bland and extremely salty. The salsa is thin and soupy with few detectable vegetables and almost no peppers. This does not deserve a 95 rating. At best, I would give it a 30. If you have a choice, go to Taco Bell. At least there the food will cost less.
Great food. This is the best restaurant in Grand Junction. Consistently fresh and tastey food, extremely friendly service, and reasonable prices. Never disatisfied with our dining experience.
