How is this place still in buissness?. This is my story of an awful dinning experience. I and my wife were spending a wonderful date on main street when we decided to stop in to the main street cafe in grand junction. It seemed small and humble and friendly but after entering we seemed invisible for almost ten minutes. This seemed strange to me considering they didn’t seem exceptionally busy. We were seated and after another five minutes a young girl approached the table and wiped of some remaining crumbs and spilled water that had been left by the last customers. The mess and random trinkets and license plates that cluttered the walls had my stomach turning before our drinks got to us which were delivered to us by an older, and grumpy man I later found out was the owner. This meeting was made worse because he had his fingers grasping the rim of the glass (even as a part time waiter I knew this was unacceptable). When I asked that he bring us new glass`, preferably without finger prints on the rim, he questioned me with a scowl. We didn’t see the owner again that night but the food arrived luke warm at best and prepared with little care. This was probably influenced by sour and bitter attitude of an owner that felt he was above a customer at his restaurant and women altogether. He then refused to tell my wife where the bathroom was. The waitress and the hostess both seemed skid-dish and afraid of him. The combination of that and the fact that he was so rude to my wife makes me wonder HOW THIS PLACE IS STILL IN BUSINESS.
