Terrible Service. The food is good but the service is terrible. It’s as if they are doing a favor to their customers.
Excellent Burritos!. Meriden is blessed with a few very good Mexican restaurants and this is surely one of them. The establishment is clean and sanitary and the food is always fresh. The chicken burritos, which are than amply sized, are absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant!
So glad they’re still around!. I ate here shortly after they opened up, and am absolutely thrilled that this business has succeeded. It’s very difficult to get anything besides the lamest cheese-slathered Tex-Mex in Connecticut, so places like this are worth treasuring. Small, run by people who actually grew up eating the food they make (another serious issue in CT), and staffed by pretty much the nicest people you will ever meet. Please eat here!
Not bad for CT. I read other diner’s reviews of this small, bare bones Mexican eatery and put it on my short list of places to try for lunch. Today, a Monday, I managed to stop in at 12:30PM and found myself the only diner in this small restaurant. Nonplussed I ordered a pair of al pastor tacos at the counter along with a can of soda. I was given the option of hard or soft, but soft corn tortillas as SOP which is what I ordered. The tortillas looked a bit dried up, but were turned out to be just fine. These were generously filled with meat, cilantro, onions and a few pieces of pineapple to which I added tomatillo salsa and a squeeze of lime. The overall flavor was a notch or two below the best, but not bad for central CT.
Must visit!!!!!!. You will not find better mexican with in a 10 mile radius. Portions are huge and taste godly. If you like mexican you must visit. You will not be disappointed.
The guacamole is super fresh!I’m in love with the cowboy burrito- truly the freshest ingredients- blended with a unique twist!!! OMGThe Restaraunt is tiny- but cozy- simplistic ! More time to focus on food!Everyone I have brought there loves it!
