High prices and hidden cost. Ate there 2 wks ago and was surprised when we got the bill that a pc of cheesecake cost $8.99 and $7.99 for choc cake. Cheesecake at Outback is just $4.99 and tasted better. Valentine’s Day we thought we would give them another try and stick to items we knew the price of. When we got the bill we were charged $10.00 a couple Party cover charge we were not told about and I think we were charged gratuity on the $10 as well. When I complained was told we had to pay it. A $10.99 pizza cost me $25.85. Olive Garden, Outback and Ruby Tuesday are upscale restaruants as well and the food is reasonably priced so we won’t be back Rocco’s. Looks like with all the complaints about the prices they would get the message.
Never going back. Went to Roccos to surprise my husband for his birthday. First of all the female server was terrible she didn’t know the menu and you call yourself (Fine dining) but server comes to table with wrinkled shirt on chipped nail polish food was not that good it was made up ahead of time then microwaved . Will never go back very disappointed DON’T waste your time or money. Train your staff, sincerely Joannie
Still the best Italian food since NYC! Ask for Sam for best service!13 Apr, 2013Good Italian food, great pizza! I love the place. Ask for Samantha for the best service!
Give us a shot. Lets start by saying Im the manager at Roccos. Our prices meet our quality of food and our atmosphere. For those who have had a bad experience for whatever the reason come back and try us again. I promise we have not changed for the worse. Friday and Saturday nights are 1/2 price well drinks and only $1 more to upgrade to a top shelf. Saturday we also have live entertainment. Wednesday we have 2 for $20 on our pasta dinners. Ask for Darrell or myself and I gurantee your experience will be worth it.
Food was good. Prices were too high. Service was fair. Might be back…
Nice place, good food. It took me a year to finally go here. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and not real loud inside. It would have been a nice night to eat outside but that’s where they stuff the smokers so inside it was. As others have said, the service is slow. Very friendly, but slow none the less. The thing I thought was odd is that this is the first restaurant in a long time that I’ve been to that doesn’t try to load you up on bread while you wait for your food. In fact, they don’t even offer any bread. That’s ok, it’s better for my diet not to eat so much. The salad was very fresh. They had a nice selection of various greens that were very tasty. The main course was Fettuccine Alfredo. While not the best I’ve had in the area, it was pretty good. Really the only bad thing is that the prices are a bit high for the area and what you get. For some place different to go to in Citrus County it’s not a bad choice.
Roccos has amazing pizza, but when it comes to mushrooms, they chooce canned! Are you kidding me?? This is supposed to be an upscale Italian restaurant. That implies fresh ingredients. Why would you ruin a perfectly awesome pizza with canned slimey mushrooms. The testure of canned mushrooms cannot compare to fresh and fresh mushrooms are not expensive. Give me a break! Do the right thing and throw the canned crap in the garbage and use fresh ingrediaents!!
