The food was really good. The atmosphere was fine. The service was terrible. I went with my mom and we were perfectly polite to the waitress while she was probably the most rude waitress I’ve ever had. She was extremely passive agressive and unfriendly. Not sure why she treated us so poorly, maybe it was because we didn’t have much to drink and she knew our bill wouldn’t be too big. Prior to going in the restaurant another waitress was sitting right outside the door with her feet up smoking a cigarette. It seemed like all the waitresses didn’t have a care in the world. Seems like they need new management or at least new training in customer service. Even though the food was good I would never go back to that place because I felt so unwelcome. Very disappointing.
The only thing consistent about BLU is the disappointment. 🙁
Highly recommended. We eat here often and have never had a bad experience. The sushi bar is awesome and the quality is consistent. If you are looking for great sushi at affordable prices that looks like art on a plate then this is the place to go. They also have an awesome happy hour menu with apps and drinks. The atmosphere is terrific as well.
Great to Go Out. I’ve seen some of the negative reviews here but have to say that I always have a good experience here. Yes, the prices are a bit high, but I am always happy when I leave. I’ve had one poor experience with service, but that was with a very large group and I think the server was new. I love their Zulu Shrimp and the Sugar Mama and they have really neat cocktails. Great atmosphere for both day and night (but watch out on weekends as the music gets super loud – not where you want to be if you’re looking for a more relaxed hangout).

Blu Sushi Review. Blu Sushi is one of the most entertaining and visually enticing places to eat in Fort Myers. The ambiance is very relaxed and modern, they nailed the trendy college atmosphere. Did I mention the sushi is amazing, the problem with the price issue I can understand. The difference between Blu Sushi and most restaurants is that you’re paying for an experience. If you want to impress a lady friend or simply have lunch a tasty sushi spot then I highly recommend Blu Sushi
That’s how we kept saying the name of this place. Blushashy. Try it, it’s fun. We have eaten a lot of sushi in our day. A lot. And while I enjoyed the butterfly roll I got here, my husband said he’d rather eat at the Prawnbroker again (which made him vomit) than eat at blushashy. He got two spicy tuna rolls, one of them was bad. Bad bad. Spoiled bad. Sad trumpet sound here. However, if you want a pre-dinner drink place, I say check them out ’cause they have great mixed drinks and a two for one happy hour. Maybe just stick with edamame for a snack.
