This is my second time here. The first was a year ago and I wasn’t so impressed with the food. This time was different. Started with Black Bean Dip – it was good might be even better with slightly different chip . I ordered special parmesan crusted hogfish on grits. It was nice sized portion and cooked perfectly. The crust didn’t over power the fish and I was impressed. My wife had fried jumbo shrimp. Breading not to thick but shrimp were just a little over cooked to be perfect. Waiter did good job ensuring we had what we needed without asking. Overall we will be back for round three.

This is a fairly typical chain-type restaurant. The food was not spectacular and the drinks were ok. These are not my favorite type of places. I prefer more unique experiences. Having said that, this is about the location. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. They do have several TV’s in the dining area, tuned to sports, if you’re looking for that. Grab a drink at the bar downstairs and hang out on the patio near the water before dinner. You can also eat outside but it was a bit cool the night we were there.

Location, great. Great view if you seat outside. Service good, not the best in town but good. We have the tuna, little spicy and too much ginger. Then Paella… Plenty of garlic. It taste more garlic than a real paella. The kids got hamburguers … Normal ones. Nothing special. Although was a great lunch..

this location has nice views on the water, we sat up top, inside…we didn’t wait at all for seating, for being pretty packed on a weekend night, but then it took 10-15 mins for someone to come to the table to greet us & take our drink order…we had mojitos that were strong, but didn’t taste good, (Nervous Nellie’s makes a great mojito, better tasting)…we ordered the Yucatan shrimp upon recommendation, they were veryyy messyyy to eat, but the taste & quality of shrimp were superb…also, had the Shrimp n Grits, very good, although no chorizo sausage(?)this puzzles me! everytime ordered at different restaurants, the menu states it in the discription of the dish, but then they fail to have it in the grits…guessing the chef thinks it won’t be missed??

Great atmosphere with a great view. The service was great also. We were told we would have a 25 minute wait so we headed to the downstairs bar, where we were offered multiple different mojitos (watermelon coconut mojito was good). Food was okay but I didn’t try their famous Yucatan shrimp so I can’t attest to that. Grouper was well cooked and even breaded, was not heavy on the stomach. Would recommend to anyone. They also had a small band playing different types of music, which was very calming and not loud at all.

Great food, lovely staff and beautiful location! Held a baby shower here and they really worked with us, making the entire thing a breeze! Great place to hold an event!

JACKPOT! Rarely do we find a place we all agree on- my father likes cheap processed food, my mother likes Southern home cooking, and I like exotic food. None of us like seafood (despite living near another major port in Florida). This an unexpected treat! I read reviews of the appetizer mussels, and when I read the description it sounded like it was prepared like some amazing PEI mussels I got once in Key West. I took a risk, and boy did it pay off! BEST MUSSELS I HAVE EVER HAD. My father got panko encrusted fish, my mother got cold shrimp cocktail, and I got a plate of warm steamed shrimp (half Dinkin’s bay boil, half Yucatan). We were all highly satisfied, but I was having foodgasms. The shrimp is steamed in saltwater and then finished in the sauce, they are still in-shell, so they don’t absorb a great amount of flavor from the seasoning. However, I peeled all mine and put the flesh back in the sauce until I finished peeling them all and then ate them with a fork (okay…with my hands and an unprofessional level of desperation and shame…I was just trying to sprinkle some fairy dust). Daddy had rum punch and a sunset to drink (mediocre), mama had a Key Lime Pina Colada (impressive!- see photo), and I ordered the Sanibel Stoop because they donate $1ea to a children’s hospital. It didn’t look appealing from the description amd I should have trusted my gut- it was not a good combo of flavors (ginger beer ruined it). This is one you switch to when you are already drunk and you are starting to feel charitable.
