Come for the cusine. This is a hidden gem. You come here for the cuisine not the atmosphere. Though they play very entertaining Mexican music.First off the food is made fresh daily and as needed. The 3 salsa is mild to wild fresh and oh so tasty. The tortilla is had made all so fresh.I had the chili rellenos. I thought all rellenos tasted the same I was so wrong. .This is music to the palate. The small black beans and yellow rice is such a delight.My serving fill me to capacityThis place is located in a strip in southern Ft. Meyers. But it is definitely worth the trip..
Fresh tortillas make the difference. The atmosphere is a little cheesy, and it’s located in a strip mall, but the food is outstanding. The homemade chips and salsas are always excellent. I usually get tacos with black beans and rice, they are served authentic with lime and cilantro on soft corn tortillas. The tortillas are made fresh; they are soft and fluffy like little pancakes. That makes a huge difference compared to other places I’ve been.Prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent.
La Fogata. Simply the best Mexican food I have had.
My second time here in the last week and I will be back again soon. Outstanding AITHENTIC Mexican food… And the best in Lee County by far.
Delicious! Very traditional Mexican cuisine. Service is great! I’ve only ordered to-go so far but I’ve been treated so nicely. Have even offered me a refreshment while I wait.
