I honestly just like the cakes, the other food not so much. If they sold their cake in different locations at other stores they could really make a lot of money. I would drive for miles to just have a taste of their cakes
The Bubble Room, Capitva Dr., Captiva, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.The food. Be advised that you cannot order dinner items at lunch time. 🙁 My entree was Errol Fin, A fried grouper with carribean rice and a mild salsa. 17 bucks. I must say it was good. Fried crispy & moist inside. Rice was fluffy with good flavors. Salsa was just right.Oh yes, an 8oz. baby bottle of Coke for $1.75…In my younger days a 10oz. bottle of Coke was 10 cents.The stars here are the desserts. I got my to go. An Orange crush & red velvet. BIG slices at 7.95 a pop. Big, sweet ,moist, too much for just person at one time. EXCELLENTNOW CHATTER…This was an hour drive from the Cape on a Monday. Expect 2 hours on a weekend. This is an old fashion tourist spot. I heard German, Japanese & Spanish spoken while there.This is a nice touristy drive. 70 + years in the making . No handicapped parking, two small bridges to enter building, unpaved unmarked parking lot.Nice friendly staff. Say it someone bday and get sung to.Oh yes touristy prices.A touristy to do once in life.
Don’t waste your time or money! Very inhospitable. They charge outrageous $$ so they can work less. Very rude. Long drive, moderate expectations… None of them were met. Won’t be fooled again
The food here is terrible. Get lunch or dinner elsewhere. Then come here for the cakes. Be sure to walk around & check out all the fun decor too!
This is a fun family place. It is very busy and always a wait. It is crowded so if you have issues with being squeezed into tight quarters than it may not be for you. The servers wear Scout type uniforms and very niche is filled with trinkets, memorabilia, and treasures. The food is good but the cake is incredible! Eat a salad and get CAKE!
Need wheelchair access. Husband and I visited the gift shop to buy some Bubble Room goodies and the gift shop employee was helping a woman in a wheel chair get into bathroom. After many failed attempts the woman thanked the employee.The employee even gave her advice as to what places would have public bathrooms. When all of the sudden a customer started calling the employee any name you could think of after she helped this poor lady try to use the restroom like it was the employees fault her wheel chair didnt fit in the restroom. The employee asked her to leave or she would call the police (this after the customer threatened the poor girl and called her the B word over and over)… The employee then did what I would have and called her a B and asked her to leave. The woman then came in again and said come outside so I can F you up. Now I have never wrote a review any where but this really upset me and as well my husband. This poor girl tried her best to accommodate the woman in the wheel chair when the restaurant should have access to restroom with a wheel chair!!! Then shes cussed out by a customer who had nothing to do with the woman in the wheelchair. I will eat here again but I think the Bubble Room needs to have handicap access in the restaurant. It’s the law and this employee went above and beyond to help the customer. I felt embarrassed for her and the woman in the wheelchair.
