Good not Great. After reading all of the reviews, I made a special trip to Coeur d’Alene to visit this cafe. While it was nice, the service was excellent, the food was good not great. I was a little disappointed. The prices are fair, and interior was clean and bright. I wouldn’t make a special trip to visit again, but we did enjoy our afternoon.

Unique and Flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised by the genius of the flavor combinations. Not only are the ingredients as fresh as can be, but the menu is full of items you’ve probably never experienced, yet they aren’t bizarre. This stuff is absolutely delectable!
Happened upon this quaint restaurant and fell in love! The service was phenomenal and the unique selection of Latin American food made for an enjoyable afternoon! Will be one of our new favorites for the area.
The single best restaurant in the area. For any restaurant in the Coeur D’Alene area to be ranked above Carambola is a sad statement of what many people think is a good restaurant. It simply doesn’t get any better than Cafe Carambola. If you haven’t eaten there, you should.
Cafe Carambola … what a treat!. This was one of the best places we have eaten at in a LONG time! The service was excellent, the food was even better! The price was moderate and it was just such an exceptional experience…we will be going back! We had a half salad and sandwich combo and an apple lemonade that had a hint of vanilla in it. It was amazing!
Carambola is excellent!. I have been going there for years now. Since they opened. It is ALWAYS great! The food is a twist on south American and Hispanic American. It is always perfect and really excellent. The salads have such unique and great tastes, and the soups are always something great! I recommend the daily specials to try something you likely have never tasted anything like. I love the place. The service is so great, the family is so nice. They are the kind of people you really don’t mind giving your money to. Some of the best in CDA.
