  My husband and I live just down the street so we’ve been here a few times as a quieter alternative to other local spots. The service is friendly tho the atmosphere is a bit retro. Good enough food and their pies are also quite good.

  Went there for dinner because we ate there years ago when food was good. This time was so cold had keep coat on and the food was awful overcooked my husbands chicken fried steak and my shrimp was undercooked. Will not go back anytime soon.

  Went there for a late dinner one night. I would place the over all experance below Denny’s and Elmers.. but much better then that stupid Texas road house. We went there one very snowy winter night.. late, around 7:30 . I had the munchies and my hubby was hungry.. so we tried it, It was one place niether of us had been to before. Went in .. the place was 70% empty..We stood there a bit before some one noticed us and seated us. Once we were seated we noticed there was a large group around the corner from us on the other side of the wall , and I was impressed with how well the building does hold the noise down. It was a very relaxed meal.I had the salad bar, the salad bar plates are small (like large soccers) so I had to make about 4 trips to try a salad, then the soups then the fruits and Jello. The soup was really good. But I did not like the fact that the waitress told me, that had I wanted potato soup I would of had to ask for it cause it was in the back and not out front with the other two soups. Plus one of the soup on the bar was low, and the waitress did not see it until I told her about it.. she did change it quickly once she knew about it. My hubby had the Eggs benedict. His order took a while to come. I was on my third trip to the salad bar when he finnally got his meal. (about 18 or 20 minutes) It was kinda long for just english muffins and eggs and spuds. there was not very many folks in the resturant either.. not sure why his meal took so long (maybe Im just used to Denny’s and having the meal out in less then 8 minutes) The waitress said it was because they had to serve the large group of 12 first and thier meals took a bit of time. So we exused the amount of time it took. They beleive in First come, first serve.. that is nice for larger groups, but it does make smaller groups wait a long time. Im not complaining about it.. but it is how they do it. ((not like Texas road house that will skip over big groups and do small groups first even if they are seated after the big group) )Our waitress was a nice lady.. but she was new and she was sweeping floors infront of us while we ate. It was around 8pm.. While it was kinda anoying.. it was nice that they keep on top of messy floors and dont leave food on the carpets to get ground in (unlike Texas road house that allows you to actully throw the food on the ground and leaves it there all night) I may go there again but only when Im supper hungry so I can order a meal and taste the food for my self. If you like Denny’s or Elmers or even Applebee’s I believe you will like this place too.. specailly if you want a cheap meal and nice wait staff in a peaceful atmospher.

  Service/Selection. We were there yesterday 5/8/11 Mother’s Day – This was not one of our better visits. Basically we were told we could only order breakfast – we couldn’t order off the buffet because they were setting it up – I could not even get a salad. It took them 20 minutes to get what we did order and she didn’t get us the drinks or refill them hardly at all.We usually go there once or twice a month – I don’t think we’ll be back for a long while and won’t recommend it to anyone.

  This is a great place to eat. The food is good and the staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable as well.
