Great food and good wine list both with decent prices. The service is good and the restaurant is cozy. There is an open kitchen so some of the staff drama was heard, but our waiter was just the right amount of attentive and scarce. Overall a really nice experience.
Arguably the best food in Cda. The atmosphere is upscale and relaxing. The service is very friendly and attentive at just the right times. Exciting fusions and tasty twists on comfort foods, all beautifully presented. My favorite!
Been there 3 times and I will choose this place over most in Coeurdale just for the bread. OMG. The food is creative and very tasty. Price always surprises me as reasonable. Took my family of three and my sisters family of 3 and don’t think we broke $80. Granted we don’t drink. (They have a great wine selection)Welcome change to our town.
Elegant dining. Very tasty and complex appetizers. We will be going back for dinner. Appetizers were beautifully presented. Recommend the Chilean sea bass spoons and Thai peanut chicken satay and tiger prawns.
A Year Later, Still Great Experience. We don’t get over to CDL often, so this was only the 2nd time in a year that we’ve been at Satay; this time as part of the Inlander’s Restaurant Week. Made a reservation, which wasn’t recorded when we arrived on the busy Weds evening, but was seated right away. Decor is a bit dark, but that’s the ‘in’ thing; very nicely done. We were seated adjacent to the open restaurant but it was not noisy at all. Excellent Service which included a suggestion for my 3rd wine for the wine flight which turned out better, and a better match for the filet Mignon then the two Cabs I selected. Me: Winter Beat Salad (Oven-roasted red and golden beets, red ions, ask, goat cheese, Dijon vinagrette. I forgot to ask the cheese vendor; nicest chevre I’ve had. Excellent salad. Asked for light dressing, which was perfect. Don’t care for the salad plates as the deep center stands off the table, with the wide rim makes it easily to tip. Filet Mignon with house marinade, rosemary gratin potatoes and baby root vegies. Huge portion, not the best FM in the area, but very good. Gratin was perfect! Thin slices and just enough rosemary flavor. Vegies to perfection. Salted Caramel Panna Cotta takes advantage of the latest ‘salted’ with chocolate fad. Panna Cotta wanted to slide off the chocolate ganache, but who cares? Found I preferred the salted caramel (very soft, good salt flavor) with the milder panna cotta and have the creamy goodness of chocolate ganache separate. He: Korean Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Marinated chicken, butter lettuce, Siracha aioli, wasabi & soy sesame seeds. Not a trace left. Ditto on FM. Bread Pudding with dark rum glaze and vanilla bean ice cream. Flavorful, moist, dense pudding and great vanilla flavor in the IC. If we lived in CDL, Satay would be a regular stop.
Restaurant review. Great food, and good service and a terrific ambiance…my new favorite restaurant in Coeur d Alene. It’s not your cheapest prices but you get what you pay for and then some. Two thumbs up!! I recommend their appetizer baked brie…so delicious!!
Urban at its finest. The flavors of everything that hits your mouth, will leave you wanting to try the other fabulous choices on the menu. The atmosphere is one of the Best in Coeur D’Alene….I Love Going to Satay…love it….love it….love it. Our drink server explained all about Satay… and how they from the start of the day… everything is prepped from organic non processed ingredients, and prepared and presented in a gourmet style that just leaves you wanting to share the experience! Lily was our server who like everything else was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed my Birthday Dinner Satay… Thank You
