Okay…. Went to this restaurant at the suggestion of my Mom-in-law. Honestly wasn’t expecting much (no offense to the establishment) since it’s pretty hard to top having had some of the most amazing food actually in Japan. Service was good. The edamame was a bit on the salty side but enjoyable. A positive: the scallops are an absolute must! Food was good overall but wasn’t super impressed.

Hallelujah ! They use real crab meat! Excellent sushi and service. We got the Syringa Roll, the Rainbow Roll, and the Spicy Tuna. All were good quality.

Syringa First Timers. My son and I just tried Syringa Cafe for the first time. We didn’t try any of the sushi items but both enjoyed the cooked food we got. It’s hard to get Tempura vegies that are cooked just right and the ones I had here were perfect with a lovely selection. The service was so-so, nothing to write home about one way or the other but the meals were prepared quickly, were reasonably priced & delicious.

Enthusiastic Service, Happy Atmosphere and Amazing Sushi. I am from the San Francisco Bay Area and have had sushi at countless restaurants. I don’t even think it’s fair to say that Syringa has ‘good Sushi for being in Idaho’…this Sushi is just plain good; period. My husband and I eat here several times a month and the service and food is always impeccable, and if you are in the mood for an amazing Japanese entree, rather than Sushi, you can’t go wrong either. It’s in our top 3 restaurants of any style food in Coeur d’ Alene.

Good to fair. People rave about this place but its just the uneducated Northwest palate talking. Ok for lunch but don’t expect your socks to be knocked off.
