Excellent food but AWESOME service. I stopped in Tomato Street while passing through town on my way to Spokane. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised. When I left, I accidentally forgot my credit card. I didn’t realize it, until I got to Spokane and I had a flight to catch. When I called the establishment, they graciously offered to mail it back to me. I was doubtful if my credit card would ever make it – but they were true to their word, and it arrived a few days later in the mail. THANKS for being so honest and trustworthy Tomato Street!!! It is really great with all the negative things you read in the newspapers and see on the news to find someone willing to help a stranger out and make their day. Your food was excellent, but your service was AWESOME.
Love this place! Were from out p town, and this is always a favorite. Bread is amazing. One thing that impresses me about this restaurant is that I get better service at a small family restaurant than at an expensive, high end restaurant.
Good food, poor service. Waiter seemed overly attentive to my ‘just water’ order with my meal. Asked if I’d like a lemon with that, to which I said ‘sure’. Husband ordered a drink, son ordered root beer. Water and root beer arrived right away. After about 15 mins, when the waiter returned to take our order, had to be reminded husband’s drink never arrived. Food was very good and well priced. If manager hadn’t come around, I don’t think I would’ve gotten a refill on my water and ended up drinking husband’s too. Then we got our bill and noticed they charged us $1 for the water! The waiter took it off but I’m thinking it’s a gimmick to add a bit of revenue to anyone that doesn’t order a drink. Watch your bill. We won’t be going back.
Used to be a decent restaurant, but has done a nose dive. Quality and service are terrible meanwhile they raised their prices. Much better places in town nowadays.
SO SO. I’ve been Several times. It has been since I was a kid however… Back then I really liked the place the servers in funky hats and getting to color on the tables was a cool thing. Most recently was lasst week and everything was blah… happy hour is always a great thing but mixing a few cocktails with below average food doesn’t make for a expectations to be filled. In my opinion I dont hate the place but It’s definately not in the top 10 in CDA.
Great for kids. Good food, not great, but pretty good. Great for the kids who are given some crayons, dry pasta and string to make a necklace, and a ball of pizza dough to play with while waiting for dinner. Calzones are pretty good and are on the large size. Service has always been good each time I have been here.
Where do I begin…. I didnt like this place 10 years ago, and I went back just to make sure it was justified and while decently priced and huge portions, I was left disappointed again. But if you like lots of food and not a lot of cost, knock yourself out!
