Made a trip here for Saturday night for some drinks. What I didn’t know was that there was a $5 cover to get in. Not something I’d expect at a Mt. Prospect bar. Kinda weird but since we were already there we figured we might as well ante up. Once we got in we quickly realized we were the youngest people there by a good 15-20 years. Not exactly the vibe we were going for. The cover band we paid cover to see was playing all the favorites you’d hear at a Howl at the Moon type piano bar. Not my thing either but everyone there was going crazy for it. There were no tables available either so on top of paying we needed to hawk a table, luckily someone was just leaving. It seemed like service took a long time to get us drinks because the bar was backed up so the other reviews about slow service were spot on. Another odd thing was that all the servers looked like they were just hanging out with customers during the night. They were hanging out at tables and I wouldn’t have even known they worked there unless they were wearing blackfinn shirts. Also the guys checking ids and taking our cover just grabbed a table near us and started drinking with their buddies. That was kinda weird. This place just gave off a really odd vibe after we were there for an hour or so. On the plus side they have like 70 beers on tap. That’s good but seems like this is mostly a place for older folks and friends of the employees to drink at. euroatheart.com
Wonderful service. Had dinner there tonight. Had made a mistake-thought I was meeting 3 other people but am supposed to meet them tomorrow. My server Anthony was fabulous. Extremely knowledgeable about food and a great conversationalist. I did not feel at all embarrassed about taking up a booth because he assured me that it was OK. Food was excellent and I will return tomorrow!

Now the blond females was spot on. I can say she was better on eyes but she took good care if us. I like service ans when at the bar you should never have to beg for anything.
