Worst Mediterranean Food and Service in Chicagoland. This was absolutely the worst place I could have taken my family. The food is overpriced and the portions are extremely small. I ordered the Beef and Chicken Shawerma Combo and the Mina Platter. The amount of beef and chicken shawerma I got was the equivalent of ordering a steak and chicken taco from Taco Bell. As for the Mina Platter, the kabobs were no bigger than a meatball you would get at the school cafeteria. The Kifta kebabs were decent, probably the only thing worth it, but not worth a total dinner bill of $33. The beef shawerma=1/2 steak taco at Taco bell. They did pile on the Mina rice, appeared to be the main entre. And the grilled vegetables, I got a small slice of tomato, a slice of a red pepper, green pepper, yellow pepper, and orange pepper. Absolutely not worth the $16.99 menu price. The service was awful. There was only one other table in the restaurant when we got there and they look like they were ready to leave. It took 30 minutes to get our food. I never saw the waitress again after she took our order. My water glass was empty for 10 minutes until the food arrived. When I asked wheres the pita that accompanies the Mina Platter as stated in the menu, the waitress replied, usually when you get the rice most people dont want the pita. Im not sure how that makes sense, but she brought us out ONE dry, pita bread. Places like this dont deserve to stay in business!

Horrible service, horrible attitude from our waitress.she was upset that i proved to her that we were entitled to a free appetizer ,downhill from there then we were charged a gratuity for 3 people.

WORST SERVICE. We came in w/a Groupon, the waitress couldn’t wait to get us out the door. No re-fills on beverages. We received the appetizer and the entree at the same time. As soon as we finished, she never asked if we wanted desert. The food was ok. The atmosphere was nice and the place was clean. We were in /out with in1/2 hour.

WORST SERVICE EVER. Went there for valentines day…THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE…..ill explainWhen we arrived at the place I will say it is a nice clean restaurant with good atmosphere but upon sitting down we were asked 3 times for drinks and neither of them were out designated waiter. After almost 20min of sitting there we finally put in our drink orders and appetizer. A half an hour later of being ignored by out waiter we finally got our appetizers and still were not able to order our entree. We had to send the bus boy who was the only one who paid ANY attention to us. Finally putting in our order our waiter admits he forgot about us and again walks away. As we are sitting there we saw 4 groups of people get sat, fed and leave and we were still there! Finally a half an hour goes by and we finally get our meals and THERE COLD like they have been sitting there for awhile but just brought out! THIS is the last straw complain to the manager and he offers desserts and such but all and all we wasted an hour and half for terrible service. I know this a family owned restaurant but I have been to plenty that are on point and know what they are doing. half the time people are just walking around confused! If it wasn’t for the bus boy we would probably still be sitting there. Only plus was the food …it was good but the service cancels it out completely. Skip this place for sure!

Excellent food!. Just had lunch at Mina last week. The food was fabulous! I was lucky to be exposed to fabulous middle eastern food in Massachusetts at a very young age and continue to seek it out. My dining companion and I had a lunch special and also split the small mezza platter so that we could try more of the salads/spreads. The portions are large and the prices are really reasonable. We could have easily skipped the mezza and still had leftovers, but we’re glad we tried it. The Baba Ganoush was smoky and delicious. Everything was seasoned beautifully. I was particularly impressed with the laban (yogurt dip) which was thick and loaded with flavor. The staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant is owned by Egyptian family. This is a GREAT addition to the local dining scene.
