Wonderful Indain food. They serve South Indian cuisine. This is one of the most consistent food that I have had in Chicago land. Also, the food here is not bland as like other Indian restaurants. It does taste Indian. They have a huge choice of chutneys and ample choices for vegetarians. I have been to this places a number of times and never had a chance to complain about the food. They also serve nice masala tea with the buffet. If the owners are reading this, I would like to suggest to add south Indian coffee to the menu.
This is so famous in the indian community of Chicago, that most of my roomies want to go here when ever they are feeling to have a REAL FEED for the appetite! We dont mind spending more than 45 mins and $15 for the gas even to reach there. The best thing I love here is the week-long buffet, that left us with no choice other than hitting here to have a solid Weekday indian buffet.Of course, the food is decent, but sometimes i think it is over-hyped. We usually go here for the non vegetarian indian (I must say Andhra) varieties and that isnt everything. You must visit here for the Sunday Dosa buffet they offer! They have a few options but it is worth it!
It was for a weekend lunch buffet, and was such a pleasant experience as soon as you enter the restaurant, the owner warmly talking to you and engaging in a conversation.Food too was good, starting with south Indian snacks with varied chutneys (at least 2 of them were spicy and yummy), powders and very tasty sambar.Appetizer was chicken tandoori, a more familiar snack these days in all Indian restaurants in USA). Main course too was baby goat biryani (Ok by local standards), mutton curry, chicken curry and other veggie curries. Most restaurants alternate chicken and button biryani each week and accordingly it shall be mutton or chicken curry.Dessert was the best-double ka meetha (or gajar ka halwa at times) and mango custard.Only caution: Most of the menu doesnt change week on week for the buffet, but good if you are not frequenting each weekend.Dont miss when you are around here.
Very good Andhra tiffins with ground nut, coconut chutneys
Amazing buffet spread. Best Andhra/South Indian restaurant in town.
