Lots of potential-long way to go. The three of us just walked down to Crystal Stairs. It’s a gorgeous building and they could do a lot more with it. At first we didn’t know if there was anyone there because it took a while to be seated, but finally we sat down. Took a long time to get drinks, and long time to order, and long time for food. In fairness I think there’s only two or three people working there, but it’s just far too slow for a lunch crowd, so if you’re like us and a small group (3 or 4) likes to go to eat together, be sure you have time on your hands, because it’ll be a minute. Other things: sodas brought warm, in a can, with ice (!), I heard someone saying there was no ketchup (have condiments!), no napkins (!). Plus side-the food we got was really tasty. Since they’re fairly new, I might give them another try at some point-but not at lunch. It’s just too slow for one hour. Maybe it was because there were three of us-but either way, not many people downtown go to lunch alone, so hopefully service gets better.
