We ate here a week ago with a friend.It was a good lunch.We read what reviews we could and decided on the Schnitzel.The food was good. We would go back. The Schnitzel was thin with not too much crusting. We got one Cajun style and another with a mushroom gravy. These were our favorites. The sauerkraut was good and the spaetzle also but a little bland. We also got a Brat and it was okay. The apple Strudel for dessert was good.The setting is in an old Athena’s restaurant….lots of room to sit. It was not cramped which we liked. It was good.Our price each was $15 or more.I forgot to ask about Diet Dr Pepper.The service was typical and friendly.We would try it again.

I give a 4.5 with the understanding that this is a new place in a building that needs some work. This isn’t the fault of the owner’s, so I won’t factor it in. You get what you get as far as the place goes! The good news is that Shreveport has sent really good German food at excellent prices! The owner is German, and really knows what she’s doing..The menu is limited but growing. They just added brats last week. Do yourself a favor, look past the building, and enjoy!They have now moved to a new and better location.
