The Pita Subway. It is something different SB needed. Nothing here has really blown me away, but it is consistent, quick, and good. It is a nice change from the tired old subways and the millions of sandwich shops out there. Friendly staff and owners. Hopefully it stays that way and they will do well.
First came the build your own sub place, then the wrap and burrito build your owns. Now the same concept is applied to a pita. Much like the other build your owns you chose white or wheat, a protein, veggies, cheeses and sauce. They grill the meet, split the grilled pita and stuff it with your choice off the assembly line. I had the prime rib pita. Good flavor from the tender beef (not sure how they call it prime rib) and all the veggies were fresh. Love the romaine lettuce option over the shredded iceberg. To go with the pita theme there’s hummus and falafel and gyro options, but don’t mistake this for a Greek / Mediterranean place, like the others this is fast food just on a pita. I give it high marks as fast food, everything was fresh, we were served quick despite a good crowd at lunch and staff was friendly and helpful.
