Love the sushi! Some of the best I’ve had. Good Thai Red Curry dish. The waiter was nice and gave great service. There were enough locals eating and picking up there to make me feel like this is typical of the food and service.
This location has seen some of the worst Chinese buffets to inhabit the planet so I’m thrilled to report the buffet is gone and replaced with a sushi bar! Even better, for me anyway, they feature Thai food in addition to hibachi dishes. Southern Hills desperately needed something besides the fried fish, bad Tex-Mex, mediocre pizza and fast food it brims over with. Compared to Danh’s Garden the Thai food doesn’t measure up but isn’t bad. I’m still hoping Shreveport will get a dedicated Thai restaurant as Thai and Japanese Kitchen features even fewer Thai dishes than Danh’s. The sushi and hibachi menus are more extensive and I look forward to investigating it. My servers and all the staff were quite friendly and the place looks much nicer than the past incarnations. Here’s hoping that restauranteurs continue to bring new and varied cuisines to South & West Shreveport, people do live and work places other than Line Ave. and Youree Dr!
Good menu selections and good portions. Well stocked Sushi bar with reasonable prices for Sushi items. Friendly staff and owner. Hibachi menu items are very good.
