We went with our friend, Wil, who was intent on comparing Zaxby’s chicken and sauce to Raising Canes across the street.JG score this visit from us of 4.5/10 (+1.5 for food, 0 for atmosphere, +1 for price, +1 for fountain Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for service and +1 for we would return)So, it was on! Zaxby’s vs Canes, chicken vs chicken and sauce vs sauce. We met in Zaxby’s after Wil arrived with the Canes food. Even the Zaxby’s manager came by to see what we were up to. Well, after all was eaten and compared we agreed that Zaxby’s has the better chicken…more of it and more moist than Canes per finger. Now, Canes won the sauce but barely because they taste almost exactly alike but Zaxby’s sauce has a little bit of a bitter twang to it when compared side to side….. The Texas toast and Cole Slaw and white cheddar fried Bites were all good from Zaxby’s also. This was a fun visit.The setting was just a fast food typical restaurant.The price is easily under $15.They do have fountain Diet Dr Pepper from one of those 100 option machines.The service was slow but okay.We would go back. This was some good food. J and I had never eaten here and were wanting to.
