Yum but slow. I just started a new job, and my first order for delivery in a new area was Generous Joe’s Deli. I orders a sub and fries, but waited over an hour to have it delivered. Now to most people, they wouldn’t be too upset with that except the fact they are under a mile away from my building. The food was good, but delivery is slow.
Jim. I like it, I was there whilst visting in the DC area. It is just good food, and I don’t say that just because I am friends with the daughter of the founder. I really do like it.
A joke. I live in old greenbelt and have eaten in the resteraunt. the restroom has alot to be desired. and i just called there to order delivery. i only live four blocks away. i called and the girl said to call back they where really busy. can you believe it?
Homemade foods. They have recently added homemade soups to the menu. I had the best chicken vegetable soup the other day. I hear they have a new one daily so I can’t wait to try the others. Staff and patrons are all very friendly. Don’t judge the outside, come in and try the food. Pizza is excellent too!
Tried it on a Lark. I think if I lived near Generous Joe’s I’d get sandwiches and pies there regularly but I won’t add it to my ‘travel to eat here list.’ Had a friend traveling from MoCo to PG and this was a spot on her route that I could get to from Annapolis relatively easily. We each got cheesesteaks and were happy with the sandwiches. Looked like several folks from the NASA facility nearby have the same idea every day.
Great steak and cheese. I ordered from here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The steak and cheese was fabulous, although I would’ve like a few more onions. The pizza was also good. I thought it was a great deal for the money and the fact that they deliver means it’ll be on our rotation for delivery nights.
Love the steak and cheese. The place doesn’t look like much on the outside but I am addicted to the steak and cheese subs at Joe’s and I can’t find anywhere else in this area that makes anything close. Toasted bread, lots of warm gooey cheese and tender tasty meat. Also, the salads are quite large with a variety of vegitables on top so I sometimes get a salad when I’m feeling guilty. I have not tried to much else on the menu cause I keep going back to that steak and cheese.
