FANTASTIC!!!!!!. A couple of friends took me to Maru’s recently for dinner as they always rave about the place. The interior is beautifully designed…well appointed, very clean and classy. There are also 2 party rooms which allow true Japanese style dining. The menu is extensive with a wonderful variety for all and the service couldn’t be any better.All that said, the food is …………MAGNIFICENT!!!! We shared three meals and all were wonderful. My meal was the honey sesame chicken which was quickly eaten by both of my friends. It is paper thin sheets of chicken fried to a crunchy crust covered in a honey sesame sauce served on a bed of very thin crispy rice noodles. After our meal, we were treated to (not charged for) their signature dessert of red bean ice cream with still warm tempura-style banana hunks and whipped cream. It doesn’t sound good but it was incredible! It took care of the after dinner sweet tooth and was light and refreshing enough to not be filling. I would highly recommend this establishment. It is an extremely pleasant and different type of Oriental food and atmosphere.

New look. Formerly Jasmine, Maru is another great addition to this shopping center across from the Fairgrounds. General Manager Julian Lo is very kind and will be sure to take care of you. The layout is simple with seating, a full bar and sushi station. Private rooms are available in the back. I definitely recommend Maru and will be going back soon.
