Great Crab Cakes. I must say that I’ve eaten at this Timonium MD stand by for many years, and though I moved away from MD, I came back to try it again. First, I had an 5:00 PM early dinner, so there were only 3 people in the seating area. However, the bar was packed with people. The service was fine, and were attuned to my needs.I ordered sweet tea with lemon, but silly me,….I forgot I was on the border of the north. No sweet tea in the north in most restaurants. However, there were packages of sugar and sweetener on the table.I ordered crab cakes with their mashed potatoes and broccoli. I’ll take care of the vegetables. First, the broccoli was typical restaurant fare, steamed, warm, and sweet. Nothing special, but didn’t detract from the meal. The mashed potatoes were another issue. They were between cold and lukewarm, and had been sitting on the stove for several hours. The were crusty, hard, grainy, and definitely not worth eating. I took about 3 bites, and called the waitress over to the table. The potatoes were shown to her, and descriptions were provided. I asked that they be replaced by some french fries. A good sized plate of french fried potatoes were supplied, and these were delicious,…properly seasoned and HOT.Now to the crab cakes. These were good sized, grilled, hot, seasoned with traditional Chesapeake seasonings, and much more crab than filler,…if any filler at all. These were delicious, and that is why I go to Ocean Pride for crab cakes. Well worth the price and the annoyance of the mashed potatoes. The total price of the meal including tax and tip was about 35.00. Next time you are in the northern part of Baltimore County, try Ocean Pride,…just don’t order the mashed potatoes in the late afternoon.

Awful place is actually a compliment for this place. This is actually the worst restaurant in Baltimore and maybe the world! The food is cold when it is supposed to be hot and straight from a food service with no creativity or thought put into how it’s prepared. The crabs are sub par mealy excuses for seafood. The drinks are warm and watered down. The service is despicable! The waiters/waitresses seemed put off by the fact that they have to serve you. The manager was the rudest and most obnoxious I have ever had the misfortune to interact with. This place is truly unacceptable as a restaurant. I advise you to go anywhere else. Catching and steaming the crabs would be five star dining compared to this place. Do not eat here unless you enjoy poor dining experiences.

Super Bowl Sunday. We have come here from PA every SBS for the last 20 years and been glad!!we are treated like kings and queens and the food is good and we especially loved the crab fluff. We also come on Christmas and Thanksgiving when kids are gone and we are lonely. A family is here. Food is great (crab fluff) and hospitality is outstanding!

OK if Expectations are Modest. This is first-and-foremost, a busy neighborhood pub with seafood on the restaurant menu. On a late Sunday afternoon it was crowded and noisy. The waitstaff was reasonably attentive (when not out on a too-frequent cigarette break), and the service and menu selections are fine if expectations are modest. Three beers and a plate of Nachos set us back $30, which is a little pricey. Again, not bad but there are better choices. The parking lot is small and congested. The bottom line is that there are better choices and I won’t be in a hurry to return.

Been around the US/globe-this place is the worst.. On the surface, one would say how do you mess up a beer carry-out/raw bar/ short order menu so tragically. Then you meet the servers and bartenders. If you knew me, you would know how much of an insult it would be to this utterly dysfunctional/attitude challenged bunch if i just recommended Applebees until you got closer to the Shore. Quite a disgrace, and I fear they are too stupid to realize/care. Caveat emptor.

The place has gone downhill. It was dirty and the food wasn’t great. Very small plates so half on chips fell on the table. No seasoning on the Shrimp. It used to be better.
