Positive experience. Family run, and excellent food and service. Friendly. Large portions of Chinese items, did not charge for extra rice, sushi rolls are well done. We definitely would return. Recommended by a Taiwanese person as her favorite Baltimore Asian restaurant. Remember to bring your own wine or beer.
The sushi is made with the freshest seafood and fish. The servers are friendly and attentive. The owners, Danny & Sherri, take a personal interest in making you feel welcome. We have never had a bad night at Yamato.
Unpleasant Dining Experience. Our party of five was greeted by an unpleasant, impatient waiter. We were rushed through our meal. When my sushi was not what I wanted, the waiter refused to allow me to send it back and to reorder. We were not even given the complimentary oranges and fortune cookies at the end of the meal.The food was alright— but there are several much more pleasant, customer-friendly restaurants in the Timonium area (San Sushi, Edo Sushi, Umisake, Fushion… the list goes on) with delicious food! We will not be visiting Yamato Sushi again, anytime soon.
