Been coming here for years, and it has always been the best, safe, friendly… everything. In the last few months a few major things have changed:- The hours have been changed and now they close every day from 2:30pm-5pm, which of course was when I liked to get sushi, before the dinner rush.- The quality of the sushi has declined and now it seems to be buffet-grade sushi, its fishier, often discolored, and just seems to not be fresh- The staff has changed, the nice waiters/waitresses are gone and now most of the staff is unfriendly & snobby, even if you’re kind & polite.- The prices have raised, despite the lower quality & reduced hours of business.- In the winter, the temp is a little low, but during the summer they have the air set to 76-78F (too warm), and aside from being uncomfortable, oddly enough I’ve noticed the sushi they make comes out a little weird and smelly (probably because of the heat of 50+ people in a 78F degree room- Slower service in general, and less attentive waitstaff. No please, no thank you, no come again….. nothing, they just plop the food down now and walk off asking nothing about what you may need or want.I’m so very disappointed, this was truly my favorite restaurant in Michigan. Not any more, that’s nothing more than a memory now. I can’t tell if the owners have sold or brought in new management but this is such a sad decline. Today I went in & it was so hot that every table was complaining, openly. The waiters/waitresses clearly couldn’t care less, one rolled his eyes when I asked if the A/c could be adjusted. The sushi roll I ordered, which I’ve had +100 times, was over cooked (the salmon on top was browned, lil burnt)…. I’ve never sent back a roll until today. Very sad. Then I ordered a 2nd roll togo & after 35 minutes, & asking 4 different waiters, it finally came. It took everything in me not to leave no tip. Its heartbreaking to see such a fine restaurant driven into the ground by owners who have stopped caring.
