Cute little place with friendly staff. Great selection and even gluten-free options! I had the Avocado Melt….so good! I would definitely go back again.
Great place! I love the Avacodo wrap and have had many really good gluten free muffins. They are moist and hold together with great flavor. I can’t wait to try more!
Very tasty and fresh. Stopped in with the Wife and enjoyed a very tasty lunch. I had the spicy hummus wrap, which was both very good and generous with its portions, and she had the nut-meat tacos, which were primarily walnuts and jaw-droppingly excellent. Highly recommended.
I love the Avacado Melt with Mustard Sauce. You don’t even understand how awesome it is!!!
You don’t have to be a vegetarian. I’ll start off by saying that Maggie’s Vegetarian Cafe supports local farmers, and emphasises healthy and organic foods. By that criteria, Maggie’s is the only restaurant of its kind in Lincoln. That alone is a good reason to not only try it, but to go out of your way to support it. Maggie is also a very creative chef. The Menu is seemingly completely original. There is an interesting drink menu there, including sparkling minteral water, raw kombucha tea, etc. The wraps are flat out the best wraps I’ve ever had. I recommend every single one of them. The service is fast, but the food is still home crafted, and clearly the product of a passionate and ambitious chef. Also, they always have a few obscure hot sauces, and of course Maggie’s home made dressings are delicious and for sale there.
I’m not a strict vegetarian either, but Maggies wraps fill me up everytime! The avocado wrap is so yummy with Maggies own special dressing. Her muffins are my favorite, hempseed, chocolate, strawberry, banana walnut, sesame, even sweet potato sometimes. And theyre vegan. Seasonal soups and local ingredients and a slow foods mentality are a few of the reasons I eat here. They only take cash & are only open till 2, so plan accordingly. Support local restaurants!
Tasty, organic, local. Maggie’s is a cute little restaurant in the Haymarket that is reminiscent of some of the great veggie-friendly shops you can find in Seattle. I always get the spicy hummus wrap – it’s so good, as well as their muffins.
