Love everything!. This place is the bomb!! The waitstaff are wonderful and helpful in suggesting items that I might like i.e., substituting ingredients for dairy since I am vegan. The food is absolutely amazing. All of Pepes ingredients are grown/made locally, so his menu changes every day. Just check his Facebook page or website for todays menu. They only accept checks or cash, so no plastic. Pepe is the main chef in the back. He is also very nice and will come out to talk to the patrons. I took my omni brother and his family there. They all liked what they ordered as well. Overall, A+++++++ restaurant.
Not very accomodating. I’ve been vegetarian for almost half my life. During the past 25 years I’ve eaten in hundreds of restaurants that cater primarily to meat eaters. I’ve been consistently impressed with how well most accommodate my vegetarian diet. Last night I suggested Pepe’s to a group of five including my 12 year old granddaughter. My granddaughter does not like most vegetables. Granted, she was not likely to get a perfect (by her standards) meal at Pepe’s but I assumed they would work with her. She and the waiter agreed on something pretty basic, chips with cheese melted on them. After the waiter brought the rest of our table our food he told my granddaughter that their kitchen was not equipped to melt cheese. Had we been told that earlier, we would have gone elsewhere and Pepe’s might have been a top choice for a return visit. As it was, my granddaughter was a great sport about snacking on chips. BTW, they were not busy at the time. When we arrived, we were the only customers there.My enchilada tasted very good but is was luke warm; perhaps a victim of the same lack of technology that makes them unable to melt cheese. Our guacamole was excellent.
Best chili relleno!. I’ve eaten chili relleno’s around the country. Pepe’s Bistro stands above the rest! The guac has an abundance of flavor that enhances the avocado. Truly, this place is a must!
Fantastic. We had the Tortilla Soup and an Enchilada Plate. They were both tasty and delightful. Pepe is a wonderful host. We will definitely be returning.
Delicious! I’m not a vegetarian and never vegetarian food but I see the appeal! I had the gluten free chili rellanos and my wife had the tofu Cuban sandwich. Both were awesome and came with rice and beans and a super good salad. The menu is very small, only 4 entrees but all made with mostly local ingredients. They even made our daughter a cheese quesidilla. I will definitely go back for the great food, and to support local farmers. Oh and of course the cucumber lemonade!
Excellent. This is a very cool, hip restaurant. The food is excellent! And the very nice owner’s made it Gluten free for us. We ordered: bean and cheese dip with salsa, sweet potato enchiladas (YUM, spicy) with a very tasty salad and beans and rice. Everything was so wonderful and so full of fresh, just prepared flavor. We ordered the baked stuffed Avocado’s, to go, for lunch tomorrow. Enjoy!
