Best meal I’ve had in Nebraska!!. Real, authentic middle eastern food! Delicious, HUGE PORTIONS, affordable. Most of this food is very healthy too! Orders came out very quickly. No excuse to eat the fake food served at 90% of disgusting chain restaurants. Will definitely stop to eat here every time I go to Lincoln.Phenomenal!
Excellent! A real Middle Eastern restaurant.. Sinbad’s may look like a dive from the outside but the quality of the food and the people who work there are second to none. We will start with the owner I believe that he has been in the restaurant every time I have gone in. This shows a passion and I commitment to making the place run to his standards a very good quality in and owner. The staff is always friendly and willing to talk. All this give the place and excellent welcoming feel. Now to the food the most important part of any restaurant. They have all the classics that you would expect from any Middle Eastern restaurant. Humus that is defiantly made in house baba ganoush that will make even the most vehement hater of eggplant want more and there falafel is the best I have had outside the Middle East. And those are just the vegetarian item. There shawarma meats are cooked perfectly moist and flavorful good simple flavors and the kebabs are rich and juicy and go perfectly with the rice. An Item that I had not had before was the teka both the chicken and beef are excellent and were a welcome new experience. They only thing that comes up short there is the bred. Now if it is very fresh and warm it is fantastic however this do not always happen and if it has been sitting for a while it is a little dry but hay that is what the Humus and baba ganoush are for. All in all this is an excellent Middle Eastern restaurant with food for anyone no matter their tastes.
Huge amount of food. I went to Sinbad;s for the first time today for takeout and am impressed. I ordered the chicken tikka with rice, small size. I was shocked when he brought my bag out to me. For $8 I got a huge serving of soup, a salad, a huge portion of rice, 2 skewers worth of chicken and a big roll. Enough for lunch and dinner easily.I’m not a big tomato or cucumber fan, so the salad was meh. I only tasted the soup, as I will be saving it and the bread for dinner, but I got the lentil, and it was very good, lots of black pepper. The chicken was perfectly cooked with a slight char on the outside, but moist on the inside, yum. The rice was also very tasty.I look forward to going back and trying more of the menu.
Delicious. Sinbad’s has a down to earth atmosphere, like many of the ethnic restaurants on 27th Street. They offer free hot black tea while you wait for your food, which I’m guessing is somewhat of a tradition in the Middle East. The staff is Middle Eastern and friendly. It is seemingly a meeting place for Middle Eastern-Americans. And they’re all friendly folks too. The dishes I’ve tried there are the eggplant soup, which is absolutely delicious, and the dolma, which is also absolutely delicious. The rice is also delicious, and the bread is delicious. It’s dry and huge, I couldn’t finish it. I highly recommend this place.
Good food, nice people. I tried the falafel sandwich. The falafel balls were pretty good, had a lot of flavor. However, next time I will probably order the platter because the sandwich doesn’t come with any sauce whereas the platter includes hummus, which I think would have made the sandwich excellent. I also got the fattoush. However, I think there is a bit too much dressing for my taste, but the fried pita pieces were crunchy and delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and I will be ordering again because of how much I like them. I would like to try their other dishes and I want to give them the business. It isn’t the best atmosphere for a sit down restaurant, so I suggest ordering takeout.
Great Middle Eastern food. This is probably the best Middle Eastern food I have had in the US. The food is amazing, the servings are fairly large, and the waiter is extremely friendly.
