Only 5 minutes from airport hotels the food and service are both memorable! Set is a residential side street neighborhood, Tony’s has quiet tables with white tablecloths and crystal at Olive Garden prices for seafood and meat dishes that are flatly wonderful. Whether a business dinner, dining alone after flying into Newark or a quiet dinner with friends the food is the star of the experience.Try the baked scallops appetizer and the mariscada (seafood in a green butter herb sauce) or the beef steak Portugese style and you will put Tony’s on your list for every trip to Newark.

Great Portuguese Food. If you like a cozy neighborhood restaurant with very good food and friendly competent service Tony Da Caneca is your place. This restaurant excels at seafood entrees at a very affordable price. The staff makes you feel welcome even if you do not speak one word Portuguese.
Not Good. Always enjoyed this restaurant before they redecorated.The decor went from neighborhood bar to nice dining room but the food went from terrific to terrible!
