This was one one of our stops in the buffalo pedal bike tour. We were greeting by a blonde hostess with a disgusted look on her face when our excited bachelorette party of thirty entered. It was less than welcoming. The bartenders seemed grumpy unhappy with bad attitudes. Not what I would expect. Just an overall unhappy and uncomfortable bar although of course we did make the best of it.

We really like 716 and think it’s a great addition to downtown. The place is exactly what it’s supposed to be – a sports mecca – loud with cheering, games on the screen, and big TVs. The service before a game is what you’d expect, rushed and a little slow – but that’s somewhat to be expected unfortunately. The drink list and food however is quite good. The Chicken Finger Sandwich is solid, the Beef on Weck was surprisingly great, the mini tacos are mini – but the taste is great, and the Salt & Vinegar Fries are delish. Nothing about the food here is good for you, but embrace your sports-fan for the night and just indulge in some good brews and pub food. It’ll be a fun night for sure. thechefandthedish.com

My husband, friend and I went to 716 in the afternoon to find that it would have been an hour wait! The place is always packed. We decided to eat at the bar and enjoyed creative cocktails. Since I’m a vegetarian I just ordered French fries and am OBSESSED with the salt and vinegar fries. Yum.
