Really good food and top notch cocktails. Service at both the bar and the table was very good. Very hip kinda place without being overly pretentious. Most unique cocktail list I’ve ever seen, they create some interesting takes on classics and have completely original ones that are really enticing. Really a great value all around. Menu was priced reasonably and had refreshing preparations that you don’t see at most restaurants in Buffalo. The kitchen is high quality, when you can take something as simple as poached eggs over potatoes and turn it into a dinner highlight then you know what you’re doing. Really great ambiance as well here, only downfall is no first floor dining which is a problem for people with certain disabilities. Maybe they can look into an elevator or something at some point. Aside from that it’s one of the top restaurants in Buffalo.
Great cocktails. I loved tha original Hair of the Dog. The food is also quite good. We tried a familial pulled pork plate to share and it was very good. However the chocolate mousse that was not made with good chocolate and the beets’ jelly did not bring anything to the dish. Overall ambiance is very similar to Vera Pizzeria.
