Love the food…. I love the food here.I mean it, LOVE IT. I’ve been going to Chris’ for over a decade and always loved that it was family run. But lately, it seems like the family doesn’t like working there anymore or perhaps just got comfortable as who will fire family? There are 2 sisters who work there and the younger one is awesome. She moves fast and is very efficient. The older sister however is the complete opposite. She is very busy on her phone, chomping gum, or readjusting what looks like a fake ponytail (is that against health code?). We unfortunately got her as our waitress. It took her forever to come to our table, and when she finally got around to taking our order she seemed plain annoyed by us. After 15+ minutes..nothing. and another 10. Not sure if she forgot to put our order in or what, but she was nowhere to be found. We joked that perhaps she accidentally put in her purse when getting our her lipgloss instead of getting to Chris in the kitchen. So we left and not even sure she noticed we left. We popped around the corner to Dinosaur BBQ where they were quick and efficient and the food also very good. There are too many great new (and old) lunch offerings in the city to put up with poor service. I will miss the great sandwiches but after being a great customer for 10+ years it is time to find a new fav lunch place as service declining here.

GREAT SEEVICE AND FOOD!!!. I have been here several times. And the service is good however the hostess was not very welcoming and very rude! Other than that my waitress introduced us to sweet potato fries with honey mustard along with our ham on a toasted croissant. Will continue to come here
Lunch at Chris’. We had lunch at Chris’ for the 1st time last week. Some folks that work downtown had recommended it. When we arrived the waitress & hostess had an argument over where to seat us. I assume they were family and a little later seemed friendly enough toward each other.. Our waitress was a character. I had the portabello sandwich w/ sweet potato fries & my wife had a turkey wrap (the waitress gave her sweet potato fries at no extra charge). Both sandwiches were very good & the fries were excellent. We will stop there again.
Totally disappointed! 8.50 on a salad that should have been a side salad. Had one carrot slice and 6 strips of turkey. Won’t go again.
Great food poor service. I’ve been doing take out for years with great results however when eating in plan on being treated rudely; from the hostess (mom?) to the waitress who asked us to leave as she had customers waiting for the table. The only bright spot in the service was the busboy who was attentive and courteous – I have to believe he was trained by another restaurant
My sister and I went here on a recent trip to Buffalo… We live in Phoenix and my son named Chris, who loves sandwiches saw it online and wanted us to try it..and buy him a T-shirt! We loved it and the sandwiches and salads were delicious. Family run and very fun place to go.. Especially on a very rainy day in Buffalo.. Only problem…I am still waiting for my son’s t-shirt!!!
